    Congratulations Hayley. As the new Ms. Wheelchair Maryland 2009 you have the opportunity to share your platform and the empowerment message of the program to women across your state.

    Cathy Porter, Ms. Wheelchair MD 2007, and I had the pleasure of hearing you speak at the Queen for a Day event hosted by W.E.A.N. at the Women’s Expo (Catonsville Community College.) It was an enjoyable day –especially the group picture with you front and center wearing your Ms. Wheelchair MD crown and the Queen for a Day crown.

    From my experience with the program — your journey has only just begun!!! The memories of your reign will live on in your heart forever.

    Kudos to Hayley, Ms. Wheelchair Maryland! Being confined to a wheelchair doesn’t have to be all bad… I play on a wheelchair hockey league and play basketball using a wheelchair.
