I would like to give a big thank you to everyone involved with making Ms. Wheelchair Maryland possible. I am truly blessed and honored to have been crowned Ms. Wheelchair Maryland 2013. During my weekend stay at the Hilton Hotel in Rockville, Maryland I was able to create memorable and meaningful friendships with the other contestants. I’m sure this is only the beginning of many more adventures to come with these ladies. I’m proud to say my strong determination and ambition paid off as this was my second time running for the title.
As a 23 year old single mother of a 6 year old daughter I continue to work hard in an effort to show her that anything is possible if you try. Currently I work as a rehabilitative specialist at Omni House located in Glen Burnie, Maryland and attend The University of Maryland, Baltimore County where I am majoring in social work. I hope to touch the lives of others during my reign as I advocate for disability awareness. Please keep your eyes and hears open for events I will be hosting and attending.
Congratulations Patrina! Go Retrievers!
Great Job sister! Keep up the good work and working hard will definitely pay off for you in the long run. If the disabled community can achieve there goals then I know I definitely can . Your my inspiration and better yet my biggest motivation to go after what I want in life. You being crowned Ms.Wheelchair Md 2013 put a glow into the eyes of all those who supported you along your journey. I love you no matter what you do in life for I know you will give me the strength to carry on even at times when you need the strength yourself.
